1. The Company
Headline – We’re a registered company, and we operate in the UK

2. Accepting the terms
Headline – If you’re using the Service, you have to agree to the Terms
These legal terms are between you and Bippit Ltd (Bippit/us/we) and you agree to them by using Bippit’s app (the App) or website (the Website) which are part of the service (the Service) that we provide.
In order to use Bippit’s Service, you need to agree to the Terms. This can be done by simply accessing the Service and consenting when asked. You shouldn’t use the Service if you’re not allowed to do so under the laws of the country that you’re resident in. The Terms apply from the commencement of the Service until a time that you cease to use it.
3. Access to account information
Headline – We use a partner to access encrypted data for the Service
To use certain optional features of the Service, you are required to connect data from other financial institutions via our trusted partner, TrueLayer Ltd (TrueLayer). Your encrypted transaction information will then be accessed on an ongoing basis unless you withdraw your consent, which can be done in the App menu or by emailing us at [email protected]
By entering your account details via Truelayer, you grant them permission to aggregate your data, which may then be stored outside of your own country to the extent permitted by applicable law. When we retrieve the information as part of the provision of the Service, we are doing so as your representative and on your behalf and not on behalf of any third-party.
This process means that we are providing Account Information Services (AIS) as defined by the FCA. What this means is that we analyse the data from Truelayer, which comes from your various accounts and then display it back to you in different ways and require registration with the FCA to facilitate this. Truelayer will not initiate any payments from your accounts, and you agree that they may use the information for any purpose connected with the Service. We may also on occasion reproduce, distribute, and disclose fully anonymised information at times in the ordinary operation of our business activities.
We do not check the accuracy of the account information and personal information that you provide to us and we rely on you and your account providers to ensure that the information is up to date and accurate. By using the Service, you represent that you are the legal owner of the data in your accounts and that you have the authority to appoint Truelayer to access and retrieve the data on your behalf.
4. Using the Service
Headline – Our service may be provided for free by an employer, and may sometimes be unavailable.
Bippit’s basic service is typically provided for free as an employee benefit.
The Service provides education resources, tools, calculators, and planning facilities, which allows you to connect information from accounts maintained by third-parties. This is required to show you all your financial information in one place, and we analyse the information to identify insights. All communication relating to the Service is in English.
The Service also provides access to a financial expert, who may be a qualiied finance professional. If engaging with an assigned expert, Bippit’s financial experts will be able to view aspects of your financial and personal profile, except for detailed transaction information.
Financial experts on Bippit’s platform are contracted to provide financial guidance as per the following definitions:
“Guidance” will help employees to identify their options and narrow down their choices but will not tell them what to do or which product to buy; the decision is theirs. Providers of guidance are responsible for the accuracy and quality of the information they provide but not for any decision that is made based on it. Guidance will suggest what the Client can do.
“Advice” will recommend a specific product or course of action for the employee to take given their circumstances and financial goals. This will be personal to them. Providers of advice are responsible and liable for the accuracy, quality and suitability of the recommendation that they make and the recipient is protected by law. Advice will recommend what the Client should do.
Using the Service is on a temporary basis, and there may be occasions when the Service, or any content related to it may be unavailable. Users will need to have access to a computer or mobile device, along with an internet connection, WiFi, or a mobile network connection in order to access the Service. Notifications will require an active connection to the Service and/or email.
We reserve the right to suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any parts of our Service without notice, and we will not be liable to you if for any reason our Service is unavailable. Our site and it’s content is aimed at users resident in the UK, and we do not make any claim that any of the content is appropriate for other locations.
5. Your account
Headline – You should keep your computer, mobile, and App updated and secure.
In order to access features of the Service, you’ll need to create a Bippit account. This requires your email, phone number, and for you to set-up a secure passcode. You will also be required to enter credentials for your bank to connect the information if you wish to access certain features. You should always keep all details completely confidential, and never allow others to access your user account as you are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on it.
From time to time we may need to contact you via email or phone to resolve issues with your account, or inform you about updates to the product or service. By registering on the platform, you give us permission to do so.
You should make sure that the App remains updated to the latest version, and we have the right to disable or delete user accounts at any time if you have failed to comply with our Terms of use.
If you know or suspect that anyone other than yourself knows your login details, or has accessed your account, you should notify us as soon as possible at [email protected]

6. Other products and services
Headline – Bippit doesn’t provide support for any other services
In the future, if Bippit’s Service includes the hosting or linking to related services from other companies, the contract will be between you and the provider of that service. If you have any questions relating to the products or services of a third-party, you should contact the provider directly.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
Headline – We own our Content, and you can’t use it in other places
Bippit is the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property and content within our Service. Copyright laws are in place and all rights are reserved.
You can draw the attention of others to Content posted within our Service, and you may print a copy or download extracts from our Service for your personal use, but you must not modify any materials you have printed or downloaded, and you must not use any visuals or audio that have been separated from the accompanying text.
You may not use any materials for commercial purposes without obtaining permission to do so from us or our licensors. Any infringing Content may be removed in accordance with applicable laws. Details of any suspected infringement should directed to [email protected]
8. Prohibited uses
Headline – Don’t try to damage the Service, or use it for anything illegal
You can’t use Bippit’s Service to do any of the following…
- Break any local or international laws or regulations.
- Carry out any activities that are unlawful or fraudulent
- Attempt to bypass or interfere with the security of the Service
- Try to collect or harvest any user data from the Service
- Damage or disrupt any hardware or software that is used by Bippit or a third-party to provide the Service
- Knowingly transmit data or upload materials that contain harmful programs or computer code that is designed to damage computer software or hardware.
- Attempt to install any code to automate an aspect of the Service that sends more requests to us in a given period than a human can
- Use any materials from the Service without permission that are protected under intellectual property rights.
- Sell access to the Service or sell related advertising or promotions
- Copy, send, display, license, sell, broadcast, or use any Content other than in ways permitted in Section 7 without the prior written consent of Bippit or the icensors of the Content.
9. No reliance on information
Headline – At times, some parts of our Service might not be up to date
We try to ensure that all information within our Service is kept up to date at all times, but we make no guarantees or representations that the content within our Service is current, complete, or accurate. You should not rely on the information that we provide or assume that it has taken into account any recent changes in legislation.
10. Security
Headline – Something might happen that we can’t control
Bippit’s Service is built using the latest technology and the highest security standards as part of our commitment to protect our users. However, we need to be prepared in the event that the Service is compromised by a malicious attack. If the security of the Service, or the safety of user data is compromised, we will inform users immediately via email and implement any safeguards we believe are necessary.
Bippit cannot be held responsible for any malicious activity caused to your account or device as a result of connecting third-party links to the Service. If you have any concerns about the security of the Service, you should contact us immediately on [email protected]
11. Limitation of our liability
Headline – Our Service is for personal use only
Bippit’s Service is for personal use, and you agree not to use it for any commercial activities. We accept no liability for any losses that are not related to personal use
Where it is unlawful, there are no exclusions or limitations of our liability to you. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees or contractors, and for fraud or any misrepresentation.
We will not be liable to you for any losses or damages if for any reason our Service is unavailable, and we will not be liable for any losses or damages caused by harmful programs or computer code present on your devices that are designed to damage computer software or hardware.
12. Links to and from our Service
Headline – You can link to our Service as long as it doesn’t damage us
If you post, send, or distribute a link to our Service, you must do so legally and make sure it doesn’t damage our Service or brand.
You can’t link to our Service to suggest any endorsement or association without the written consent of Bippit. We reserve the right to withdraw any linking permission without notice. If we ever provide links to any third-party websites, they should be treated as information only, and we’re not responsible for the content.
13. Making a Complaint
Headline – If something’s gone wrong, please let us know
At Bippit, we work hard to make sure you never have cause to complain about our products or services or how we look after you. Unfortunately, there may be times that we have made a mistake, and we see that as a chance to learn, and to put things right.
We are subject to UK law and UK courts, and we take all complaints very seriously while investigating them promptly and fairly. If you would like to make a complaint please contact [email protected]
14. How we handle complaints
Headline – We investigate as soon as possible and keep you updated
Once we receive your complaint, we will acknowledge it by email. We have a maximum time limit of eight weeks to resolve your complaint, but we will work hard to investigate and reply as soon as possible.
If we can resolve it within 3 business days, we will write to you with a summary and let you know what you can do if you’re unhappy with the outcome. If we can’t investigate and resolve your complaint within 3 business days, we will keep you informed of our progress.
Once we have investigated and completed our assessment, we will send you a final response, which will include the full details of our decision. If you are not happy with our final response, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Other than the FOS, we do not provide details of an alternate dispute resolution provider for non-eligible complainants.
15. Financial Ombudsman Service
Headline – An impartial service to resolve complaints
The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent organisation that resolves disputes between customers and financial services firms.
You can refer your complaint to the FOS if we were unable to resolve your complaint within eight weeks or if you were not happy with our final response. However, any referral to the FOS must be within six months from the date you receive our final response to be eligible.

16. Changes to the Terms
Headline – If we need to update our Terms it will be shown on this page
We will sometimes need to make changes to the terms, which could happen when laws or regulations change, or when we introduce new features, products, or content to the Service. Any new terms will take effect from the next time you use the Service.
When our Terms are updated, the new version will be posted on Bippit’s Website. This will be done at least two months prior to the changes taking effect If you don’t agree to the new Terms you must stop using the Service. If you continue to use the Service, it will mean that you accept the new Terms.

1. The information we hold
Headline – We look after your information carefully
We hold information connected via Truelayer, or submitted through our App and Website such as subscribing to updates, but we’ll only use this information in strict accordance with the law. We may also hold information from social networks or online accounts, cookie information, and information from any accounts that you share with us.
2. How we use the information
Headline – We use it to deliver and improve the Service
To provide our services, we use information to help us manage your account, provide coaching, and track, analyse, and improve the services we give you. To meet our legal obligations, we may use information to prevent illegal activities like money laundering, tax evasion and fraud.
To exercise any legitimate interests, we may use data in your and/or our interest, but which doesn’t involve overriding your privacy rights. It could be to market products and services from Bippit or other third-parties, provide anonymised data to a customer, inform you about updates to the product or service, resolve issues with your account, or conduct a soft search (which doesn’t affect your score) at credit reference agencies when you sign up to services that are relevant.
We may use the information to allow us to make suggestions and recommendations to you about services that may be helpful to you, and we may also use anonymised information about your preferences for our business, research, product development, customer success, and marketing purposes.
With your permission we may use the information to market and communicate our products and services or those of affiliated partners to you by email. You can always unsubscribe from receiving these if you want to, by email or via the App.
We do not disclose any Personal Data, such as phone number or email address to any third-party other than to our contracted service providers and business partners that help us deliver the Service. Our internal use of your Personal Data is limited to providing and improving the Service to you with appropriate data protection.
3. Who we share information with
Headline – Your information is sometimes shared with other entities
We may share your personal information with anyone who works for us as an employee, coach, or contractor when they need it to carry out their job or provide the service, and any organisation which supports any of our services you use, when they need it to offer those services. This may in the future include:
- Credit reference agencies
- Know Your Customer (KYC), and cyber security providers
- Customer interface providers like those who may manage our in-app chat, emails, and newsletters management
- Data analytics providers, and companies that provide services to train Machine Learning models for Bippit
- Companies that do advertising for us (but not for their own proprietary use
- Anyone who you give us explicit permission to share it with (a joint account user, or loan provider for example)
- Institutions that require the information so that we may comply with the law, enforce our Terms and Conditions and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property and safety of the company, our customers, or others.
4. How long we keep information
Headline – We’re legally required to keep information for a certain period
We keep your data as long as you’re using Bippit, and may be required to store it for 6 years after that in order to comply with the law. In some circumstances, like cases of anti-money laundering or fraud, we may keep data longer if we need to, or if the law says we have to.
5. Your information rights

The rights that you have regarding the information we hold about you include the following.
- Access the personal data we hold or to get a copy of it
- Oblige us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete, ‘block’ or suppress your data, though for legal reasons we may not always be able to grant this
- Object to us using your data for direct marketing, and in certain circumstances ‘legitimate interests’, research, and analysis
- Withdraw any consent you’ve previously given us regarding the Service or opt out of our newsletter

6. Where we store your information
